Microsoft PowerPoint is still the leading software for creating presentations. It's also great for sharing information in a more visual way with colleagues.

In this 90-minute online session suitable for all PowerPoint users, you will learn how to use Master Slides to make global changes to the style of your presentation.

These sessions are only available for private bookings, either for groups or as a one-to-one, held online via Zoom. (90-minute sessions are currently not available for classroom bookings.) Please get in touch for availability and pricing.

Session Overview

If you need to make global changes to your presentation using master slides then this session will take you through the basics. 

Master Slides store information from the Themes about the fonts used, placeholder sizes and positions, background design and colour schemes within a presentation. You can view the Master Slide and make changes that are reflected throughout the entire presentation.

By the end of this session, you will be able to create professional-looking presentations using master slides for consistency and time-saving.

Course requirements: You will need to be confident in using a computer and a mouse. This course is for anyone who has used PowerPoint before to create and alter simple presentations by adding and editing text.

  • Changing Indents and Bullets
  • Adding a Logo to the Master
  • Creating your own Design Template.

The course will run remotely for 90 minutes. 

All learners will need to install Zoom on their machines. Full technical requirements are on the Zoom website. Your link will be included in your joining instructions once you have booked your place — if you haven't received this email then please contact our team.

Learners should log into the training session 10 minutes before the start time to ensure that they have downloaded and set up Zoom correctly. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals.

Your active participation is expected: everyone will be heard and seen throughout, just as they would be if we were in a room together. To be heard, hear and seen you will need a microphone, speakers and camera – if you have a modern laptop that’s all you will need. Remember, you’ll need a quiet place to call from and a decent internet connection is a must.
