Course Overview
What is LEGO Serious Play?
LEGO Serious Play (LSP) is a facilitated thinking, communication, and problem-solving technique for use with organisations, teams and individuals. It draws on extensive research from the fields of business, organisational development, psychology, and learning. It uses LEGO bricks to engage participants in creative thinking, reflection and dialogue.
LSP taps into the human ability to imagine, to describe and to make sense of a situation at hand, to initiate change and improvement, and even to create something radically new. It is a great way to handle challenging situations, for teams who can be open-minded and willing to try a totally different approach for problem-solving.
Situations where LSP can be applied
This is a bespoke session, which is tailored to help you solve a challenge or support your goals. Our expert facilitator will create a workshop just for you.
Here are some common types of situations where LSP can be applied:
- Strategic Planning and Visioning
E.g. A company might use LSP to collaboratively build models representing the organisation's future, enabling participants to express and align their individual visions of success. - Team Building and Collaboration
E.g. Teams can engage in LSP exercises to build shared understanding, strengthen relationships, and develop better teamwork dynamics. - Problem Solving and Innovation
E.g. A company facing a product development challenge might use LSP to ideate new concepts, explore diverse perspectives, and prototype innovative ideas using LEGO models. - Leadership Development
E.g. LSP can help leaders explore different leadership styles or gain insights into the organization’s culture and challenges by visually representing these elements. - Change Management
E.g. Employees might build models representing their concerns, hopes, or expectations regarding the change, allowing them to engage in a constructive dialogue. - Conflict Resolution
E.g: Individuals can use LEGO bricks to represent their perspectives on a particular issue, fostering empathy and helping parties find common ground. - Organisational Culture and Values Alignment
E.g. Participants may build models that represent their perceptions of company values, allowing for open discussion about how the company’s culture can be strengthened or changed. - Employee Engagement and Motivation
E.g. Employees could engage in LSP to express their aspirations or suggest improvements, making them feel more invested in the organization’s success.
These are just a few examples of the many ways that LEGO Serious Play can be applied at work. The versatility of methods allows it to be adapted to suit a wide range of business contexts, from day-to-day operations to high-level strategic decisions.

Delivering your bespoke LSP programme
Because of the nature of LSP, these workshops can only be held in the classroom. It's currently only available for private groups with a minimum of six people. It's ideal for teams who want to work together to solve a problem or challenge.
As this is a bespoke session, once you have booked a workshop, the booker will need to meet with the facilitator to discuss the challenge to be covered. This ensures your facilitator can scope the questions and decide what Lego is needed (as it's imperative to get the questions right).
Please get in touch with our team for a free, no obligation chat to learn more and find out if LSP is right for you.

For Face-to-Face Live Online Learning
All learners will need to install Zoom on their machines. Full technical requirements are on the Zoom website. Your link will be included in your joining instructions once you have booked your place — if you haven't received this email then please contact our team.
You should reserve out 10am to 4.30pm in your diary for the learning. This will allow you to join the interactive workshops and have time to reflect and do the assignments in between. We believe immersing yourself in the content for a whole day will create deep learning and lasting impact.
Learners should log into the session 10 minutes before the start time to ensure that they have downloaded and set up Zoom correctly. The course will start precisely on time and it may not be possible to go back over material missed by late arrivals. Unfortunately you will be asked to leave and attend a different day if you arrive more than 15 minutes late for online sessions, and more than 30 minutes late for classroom sessions.
Your active participation is expected: everyone will be heard and seen throughout, just as they would be if we were in a room together. To be heard, hear and seen you will need a microphone, speakers and camera — if you have a modern laptop that’s all you will need. Remember, you’ll need a quiet place to call from and a decent internet connection is a must.
Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions before booking for our payment terms and cancellation policy.
