Around three years ago, Happy organised a vote of all our employees on whether they wanted to keep the annual appraisal. As we expected, they didn’t – with 83% voting to scrap them. We have had lots of requests for Google Sheets, as many organisations (particularly charities and public sector) have made the switch to G Suite from Office 365. We have now created equivalent courses for Levels 1, 2 and 3.

Today we started the first Drupal pre-apprenticeship programme. The idea of the course is to find school leavers with an interest in and aptitude to coding/web development and help a young person get their foot on the ladder to employment. This intensive two week course will cover the basics of using Drupal, HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. Currently four organisations have committed to taking on an Apprentice, so we will prepare this group of school leavers and get them ready to go out to an interview.
In this brand new workshop, we aim to help you to make the most of your remote meetings. You will learn how to overcome common challenges, such as distraction, tackling difficult issues, managing larger groups and having hybrid meetings, with some attendees in the room and some remote.
