Hydah Nawab, the Deputy Service Manager at Via Redbridge, took part in our Level 5 Leadership and Management Apprenticeship, where she was able to have fun while learning valuable skills that ensured she was able to launch Via's new wellbeing coaching programme, Re-new.
"Like many in leadership positions, I initially wondered whether another development programme would truly offer something different. There's often a concern that leadership training can feel overly theoretical or too prescriptive," says Laura Cristea, Head of Marketing at Energise. "But from the very first session, Happy put those concerns to rest. The approach is thoughtful and inclusive, with a clear understanding of how to make learning feel energising."
“Happy had learners at the heart of the journey, as opposed to other training providers we’ve experienced. We felt that the learners came first all the way through, and that there was a real interest in us an organisation,” says Sarah Rose, Director of Operations at Dorset Mental Health Forum.
“It was an amazing programme and a privilege for me, as I had only just started being a leader. We have become better leaders, rather than managers. It built the energy in the right direction. We now know what our targets are, and they are all aligned,” says Olivia Adhikary, Avegen’s HR Manager.
In November 2021, Ealing Council launched a bespoke Level 5 apprenticeship programme to support the career and personal development of their Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) managers – our Level 5 Global Majority Leadership Empowerment Apprenticeship Programme

“The programme only finished last month but I feel like it has had a massive impact. They are working so much more effectively as a group now,” says Anne Clarke, Senior Vice President People and Culture at Revantage.
“You have delivered everything we asked for and it’s made a real difference,” says James Post. “Our people feel more trusted, and as directors, we have been freed up to look at the bigger picture, giving us time to do planning and strategy.”
Blue Cross is a charity that really understands the benefit of personal development. The Chief Executive, Sally de la Bedoyere, recognised that people need to grow and flourish, and that seeing mastery develop really gives people motivation. Happy delivered 23 individual one-off coaching sessions for the senior leadership team to aid their personal development. This was an exciting project and surprisingly the first of its kind that we have been asked to do.
